Our first guest, Inna
Jesse’s old colleague and now good friend of ours, Inna, is here to visit us for 10 days! We picked her up at the station and welcomed her on the land.
It’s been super nice to have her over and we are very grateful for all her kind help.
Stones
This week we’ve continued our routine of picking stones from the fields. With the rising temperatures, our alarm goes off earlier and earlier.
Our goal is being on the fields at 5 to be finished before it’s unbearable to be in the sun. We are really making progress with three of us now!
Hot
This week we are having temperatures above 35 °C, and we can tell you, it’s hot! We drink lot’s of water and try to find shelter in the shade.
The river has also been one of our favorite spots to escape the heat.
We’ve put a shade cloth over our greenhouse to protect our seedlings from the heat as well. We are all doing well!
Veggie garden
Our veggie garden is growing.
Again, we’ve moved some plants from the greenhouse to the garden. Jesse built a beautiful second seeding table, so we have some more space for growing our seedlings. We’ve planted aubergine, pumpkin, watermelon, buckwheat, baby’s breath, holy basil & dill now in full ground! 😉
Also, Inna created a beautiful trellis for the cucumber plants that are getting bigger and need some support! The first flowers are appearing, we are patiently waiting for the first cucumbers to arrive 🙂
Updates and questions
We’ve decided to move our updates from Sundays to Mondays. This week there was a little delay but the next update can be expected on Monday!
